The United States of the nineteenth century was vastly different from today. It was a republic with a constitution, protecting the fundamental rights of its citizens, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly and the right to keep and bear arms.
There were no persecutions of religious groups, Christian or Moslem. It wasn’t founded on religion, but it remained tolerant towards it.
There was no censorship, no “fake news” or “hate speech”, thugs didn’t disrupt meetings and beat up the participants. There were no gun laws.
Now as then, there is a public opinion against slavery. But without freedom of the press, such opinions don’t matter.
The slave-owners of today, the Gates and Zuckerbergs, have something that their predecessors didn’t have. The power to silence, assassinate and crush any and all dissension.
The election of Donald Trump was nothing short of a miracle, an unprecedented rising of the people. The Democrats, the party of the affluent and educated, were in shock.
How dared these deplorable creatures rise up against them? How could the black and Hispanic be so ungrateful after all the HOPE that the Obama administration had given them, just because Trump offered them jobs and dignity?
They had never been meant to leave the plantation, but to remain grunts so that white people didn’t have to be killed, and entertain their masters as gladiators and rap stars, projecting the image of the childlike, dyslectic and violent black man, who needed the white man’s protection. The religious groups, who had opposed slavery, and now opposed black genocide in the form of family planning, who didn’t think that a child should be killed in the womb, just because it’s black, were slandered and silenced.
Once more the Ku Klux Klan roamed the streets, as before with the blessing of the Democratic Party, terrorizing the population and lynching uppity Negroes, who voted for their liberator, in the spirit of reducing the black man to a victim, something for the Society for the Protection of Animals, calling themselves Black Lives Matter! At the same time of spreading the Great Lie that the traditional party of the slave-owners had suddenly become liberators, they made sure that everyone knew that their methods were those of the Nazis, intimidation and censorship, so that no one would dare to question it.
And so the white supremacists won, and spread slavery from the Democratic to the Republican states. John Brown’s body lies a-moldering in the grave.
