D: John Stanley C: Jerry Walter, Dan Caldwell, Barrie Youngfellow

Fan film directed (well, sort of) by a late night television horror movie host. It’s mainly a tribute to the fans – as opposed to connoisseurs – of the genre, the scene being the cinema, the convention, the comic shop, and so forth. It seems that a star of vampire movies is a real vampire (now there’s a surprise!) and it’s up to a collection of nerds to stake him. The famous resurrectionists Burke and Hare having apparently resurrected themselves supply the gore in the tradition of Herschell Gordon Lewis. Unfortunately, role-playing is not acting, the result being only of interest to the type of people, who made it. It might have been saved by some clips from the kind of movies shown on Stanley’s program, though. The rants against moral majority feminists and shady characters like Wertham are, unfortunately, too silly to take seriously, our heroes finally joining their ranks by warning an assembly of monster lovers that such creatures are intrinsically evil! CREATURE FEATURES were later taken over by a leather fetishist with the presumed IQ of its viewers. You probably won’t be able to take your eyes off his cohost Mangella anyway. Still, someone should take that bubble gum away from her and give her a sound spanking!
